Fletcher and Carol G. Elliott, owners of Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Palm Harbor, deliver dance instruction the way the world's greatest dancer intended. Combined, the Elliotts, both dance instructors, have more than thirty-four years with Fred Astaire dance studios. While some dance steps have been modernized, Fred Astaire's syllabus and method of instruction remains unchanged and provides the student the easiest and fastest way to advance. Each Fred Astaire dance instructor receives intense instruction and training followed by certification. These highly qualified instructors utilize Astaire's proven method to teach students much more than mere dance steps. Students acquire rhythm, focus, poise, grace and composure on the dance floor. "We teach all types of dancing to all ages, mostly 18 and over, although we do provide special instruction for children if requested. Our youngest client is 13, our oldest is 83," she added. "Anyone can learn to dance. Fred Astaire said, 'Some people seem to feel that good dancers are born. All the good dancers I've known have been taught or trained.'Not everyone is a great dancer, but with proper instruction, it can be achieved and we teach at all levels, beginners, intermediateas well as advanced."
